Bangkok, March 17, 2025 – Tellscore, FutureTales LAB and the Thailand Institute for Mental Health Sustainability (TIMS), has officially unveiled its pioneering Foresight research, “Futures of the Content Creators in Thailand 2035.” Held at the SCBX NEXT TECH area of Siam Paragon, Bangkok. The press event presented an in-depth study of key trends across society, technology, economy, environment, politics, and social values, shaping the future of Thailand’s content creator industry over the next decade.
The research highlights that Thailand’s content creator sector is on track to generate annual revenues of at least 45 billion baht while supporting over 9 million creators, establishing itself as one of the country’s leading skilled workforces. However, despite its rapid growth and substantial economic potential, the industry faces key challenges in standardization, government support, regulation, and protection—key factors that must be addressed to ensure its long-term sustainability.
Utilizing the Foresight research methodology, the study outlines five future scenarios for Thailand’s content creators landscape, offering a strategic roadmap for creators, businesses, policymakers and key stakeholders. It provides a guide to actions for key players in the industry, equipping them with the necessary strategies to navigate emerging challenges and opportunities. Additionally, the report includes rule of law remarks, highlighting key legal and regulatory standards that content creators and private sector collaborators must adhere to in order to uphold industry integrity. This forward-looking approach enables stakeholders to stay competitive, adapt to technopolitical shifts, and build resilience in an evolving economic landscape.
Ms. Suvita Charanwong, CEO and Co-Founder of Tellscore, stated, “The Thai content creator industry has reached a stage of mature growth, evolving beyond social media to become a driving force in the modern economy. Creators are no longer just individuals producing content they are solopreneurs and emerging media powerhouses with profound influence on consumer behavior, economic progress, and societal values. At Tellscore, we are dedicated to elevating industry standards and fostering collaboration among key stakeholders—including government bodies, policymakers, tech platforms, private sectors, educators, and traditional media to ensure the sector’s resilience and valuable growth.”
Dr. Karndee Leopairote, Chief Foresight Officer at FutureTales LAB, added, “Thailand’s content creator industry is undergoing a major transformation, driven by advanced technology, increasing global competition, evolving regulatory policies, and shifting societal values toward sustainability. This research employs a Foresight Methodology to explore key trends and present five future scenarios ranging from a golden era where Thai creators receive full support to thrive, to a downturn where the industry stagnates, leading to broader societal consequences.
Preparation is crucial. Whether it’s developing digital skills, establishing professional standards, ensuring balanced platform governance, or fostering an ecosystem that considers social and environmental impacts, the future of this industry depends on multi-sector collaboration. By working together, we can ensure that Thai content creators remain competitive on a global scale and achieve long-term sustainability.”
Dr. Varoth Chotpitayasunondh, MD., Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Health and Co-Founder of TIMS, stated, “Thailand Institute for Mental Health Sustainability aims to create an ecosystem that promotes mental well-being for the Thai people. We recognize the significant contribution of Thailand’s content creator in producing quality media and fostering a safe online community. Subsequently, it enhances media literacy and raises awareness of the impact media has on both individuals and society. Collaboration from all sectors is essential for the sustainable growth of this industry. This includes a government that develops regulations informed by evidence and expertise, private enterprises that expand economic opportunities, and the public, who are instrumental in directing the media landscape.
We hope that The Futures of Content Creators Foresight Report serves as a roadmap for developing the content creator industry in a way that fosters sustainable mental well-being in Thailand.”
Released today, this research aims to initiate an ongoing dialogue with key industry players to support the recognition of content creation as a legitimate career path and a stable source of income for a wider population.
